Friends Kirsty Fields and Jo Stevens, the creators of Ladies Who Long Lunch, have capped off a successful 2022 by hosting four sold out events this year.
The idea to host regular meetups, to allow women to take time out of their hectic professional lives and network with others in the community, came about in 2021 during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
One of their successful events included a special banquet long lunch that was held at The Komo at Redcliffe in October.
About Kirsty Fields and Jo Stevens
Kirsty Fields and Jo Stevens are the creators of Ladies Who Long Lunch, launching the concept in 2021.
As career-driven women themselves, Kirsty and Jo realised there needed to be events held within the region that were designed for other busy women to take time away from their hectic professional and businesses careers to network and socialise with others in the community.
During 2022, Ladies Who Long Lunch hosted four sellout events, and has another big calendar of events scheduled for 2023.
One of those events was held at The Komo in Redcliffe on October 28, and featured an array of guest speakers who spoke about the amazing ways women are helping to build industries in the business world, recognising problems and solving them, filling the gaps and bringing sustainability into their daily practices.
While these events have been highly successful, Ladies Who Long Lunch is a side hustle for both Kirsty and Jo.
Kirsty is the Creative Director of Social Ocean, a marketing agency specialising in social media training for business owners and corporate events.
The company is based in Clontarf.
With social media being such an important presence in the day-to-day lives of so many people, Kirsty is passionate about seeking out unique event opportunities to promote her clients’ businesses to their communities.

Meanwhile, Jo Stevens is the Founder of The Zen Zone, which provides mindfulness programs to support mental wellbeing.
Jo is an award-winning Certified Mindfulness and Mindful Movement Coach and an accredited Mental Health First Aid Officer.
