Sesame Lane Care and Kindergarten has had a huge 2022, being named Moreton Bay Region’s Business of the Year, an employer of choice and a Dolphins NRL partner.
In October, Sesame Lane Care and Kindergarten was named the 2022 Moreton Bay Business and Innovation Awards Business of the Year.
The business was also a joint winner of the Moreton Daily Award for Customer Service Excellence with North Lakes and Surrounds Electrical.
Sesame Lane employs almost 400 educators, teachers and staff and cares for more than 2000 children from more than 1700 families in the Moreton Bay Region.
Owner and founder Hilton Misso believes the people at Sesame Lane make the difference. His management team handpicks staff for their positive attitude, caring disposition and passion for supporting young children to thrive.
Sesame Lane also financially supports staff with ongoing professional development to ensure they continue to deliver quality learning outcomes for the children in their care.
Also in 2022, the business achieved Employer of Choice status. It was in recognition of their efforts to consult, support and develop staff through a range of programs and initiatives. See the story here
And in November, it announced it would partner with Dolphins NRL becoming the official Childcare Partner, sharing branding with the Dolphins’ membership category for their youngest supporters, the Baby Flippers club. See the story here
About Sesame Lane Care and Kindergarten
Sesame Lane has been providing child care and education to families in the Moreton Bay Region for more than 30 years.
It was founded by Hilton and Lynda Misso in January 1988, the day they opened their pioneer service at Redcliffe with eight children and three educators.
Managing director Lynda has been in the role for 34 years. Before then, she was accounts manager for the family business Trilby Misso Lawyers.
Hilton made a promise to himself to be successful, following his father into law which brought success and opportunity in business but also a platform from which to give back and help others be successful.
He believes early learning between the ages of 0-6 years is the period of a human’s life when educators can have the greatest impact. He says it is a privilege to own a business in that area and education is the most noble industry to be a part of.
The Misso family is a known name in law, childcare, property and social purpose projects across the Moreton Bay Region.
