Mount Glorious

About Mount Glorious

Mount Glorious is both a suburb and mountain in the Moreton Bay Region. The tiny suburb is surrounded by lush forests of the D’Aguilar National Park

At 680 metres above sea level the village is sometimes shrouded in a cloudy mist. The cool mountain air makes Mount Glorious a particularly glorious place to visit during the hot summer months.

A popular destination with those looking to for a nature hike, as Mount Glorious has a number of great walking trails along with picnic and barbecue areas and cafes to enjoy after a hike. The trail paths are reasonably easy and are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. The main National Park area is Maiala, where four family friendly trails begin.

Mount Glorious has one restaurant, three cafes, and a Community Hall. The village hosts the annual Art with Altitude exhibition every November. The two-day event features artists and craftspeople from the Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo areas, together with market stalls and food and coffee.
