North Lakes

About North Lakes

North Lakes is a newly developed suburb, previously Mango Hill until 2006. Beginning as a housing estate the creation of the suburb of North Lakes brought along new businesses and parks, many of which were aimed at young families.

A myriad of parks, adventure playgrounds, bike paths and sporting facilities gives North Lakes residents the opportunity for an active lifestyle outside.

Lake Eden is a highlight of North Lakes. The pristine body of water in the town centre is surrounded by parks, playgrounds, boardwalks and cafes. Lake Eden is also home to a large volume of wildlife and a thriving ecosystem.

Facilities in North Lakes

In town centre is a Moreton Bay Regional Council library, a leisure centre and public pool all within the vicinity of the shopping centre.

Westfield North Lakes is the major shopping centre for North Lakes and neighbouring suburbs. The Centre contains a Myer, multiple supermarkets, an IKEA and over 200 speciality stores.

An established Business park is home to many homemaker retailers and trade businesses. North Lakes is also home to the Brisbane region’s first Costco Warehouse.

Educational facilities include numerous state & private primary to senior schools & colleges including North Lakes State College, The Lakes College, Bounty Boulevard State School. North Lakes State College is made up of two large Campuses.

North Lakes is burgeoning into the decentralised city hub of Brisbane North, the premier go-to destination for all things shopping, dining and entertainment.
