Aussie singer to delight Bublé fans with special tribute show
Published 4:00pm 15 April 2022
Australian singer Rhydian Lewis will be channeling his inner Michael Bublé and performing his biggest hits at a special tribute show at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre next month.
Fans will be able to sing and dance along with Rhydian, who has the title of being Australia’s longest running tribute to the Canadian singer, when he appears at the centre on Wednesday, May 4.
Speaking to Moreton Daily from his home in Byron Bay, Rhydian said the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre has a special place in his heart.
“Redcliffe is one of my favourite places to perform because it was the first venue to show their support and give us our first professional theatre booking,” he said.
“That was about 11 years ago, so I am really looking forward to coming back.”
An array of hits
The Best of Bublé Tribute Show includes a stellar line-up Bublé's biggest hits including The Way You Look Tonight, Home, Everything, Lost, Sway, Save The Last Dance For Me, Haven't Met You Yet and many more.
Rhydian said Bublé was a master storyteller with his lyrics, drawing on inspiration from real life events.
“He has some incredible self-penned songs and takes his listeners on a journey through his past relationships and how he felt during those times,” Rhydian said.
“Australians love Bublé and his romantic songs. Australia was actually the first country to give him his first worldwide number one song.”
Joining Rhydian on stage will also be a four-piece band, who Rhydian describes as “some of the most talented musicians in the world”.
“The musicians I book are the best musicians you can get. Most of them are conservatory trained and are from the Brisbane or the Gold Coast,” he said.
“They are so good that they have even played with a number of A-list celebrities.
“I’m lucky to have these musicians playing with me – I have got almost the same band that I started with 11 years ago.”
