This time last week, the Kindred team in green was walking, jogging and running a combined total of almost 500km in the Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run.
That’s the same as nearly walking from Brisbane to Gladstone, and more than 2200 laps of Suncorp stadium.
The team of more than 80 Kindred staff and family members took part in the Sesame Lane 3km, Planet Fitness 5km events but also the Moreton Daily 10km and Kindred half-marathon.
This is what their team members had to say about the day.
Belinda and Shilo: “Wow this is massive. This is the best fun run ever. We will be doing the 5km next year for sure. The atmosphere is so exciting. What a well organised event”.
Richard Waugh: “J2J was a cracker of a day combining family and competitiveness! Definitely bringing my family along next year!”.
Mark Kelly: “Great day out with my extended family and friends. Beautiful walk in the best weather. Loved the day and finished with a barbecue”.
Arista Martin: “A perfect fun-filled family day at the Jetty2Jetty on Sunday. The beautiful scenic course along the waterfront was so much fun and the weather was just perfect”.
Nikita Lawrence: “Life is short. Running made it seem longer, especially at the 5km turn around point”.
