Seven community groups in the Moreton Bay Region, including a school and kindergarten, have received grants in the second round of Ausbuild’s The Sanctuary Community Fund
The successful applicants sharing grants totalling almost $50,000 were: Pine Rivers Swans Australia Football Club; Cystic Fibrosis Qld; The Culture Crusader; Restore Social Enterprises; Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten; Strathpine West State School and Albany Creek Masters Swimming Club.
The Sanctuary Community Fund has distributed up to $100,000 in grants to 14 community building programs and initiatives since its launch in March 2022.
The fund was established by Queensland developer Ausbuild and is independently administered by The Sanctuary Community Reference Group to create opportunities for local community groups and schools to thrive, enhance the natural environment and contribute to legacy-building.
The Sanctuary is Ausbuild’s masterplanned house and land community now under construction at Warner.
Ausbuild Joint Managing Director Michael Loney says the company is proud to announce the recipients of the round two grants to assist them deliver essential programs and projects.
“Our local footy clubs, schools, kindergartens, family support groups and environmental protection organisations are the backbone of local communities,’’ Mr Loney says.
