College opens new hi-tech building

Australian Christian College (ACC) Moreton has officially opened its new secondary school building to help accommodate its rapidly growing community.

The new two-storey building includes hi-tech classrooms, a library, flexible space for gatherings, science labs, food technology kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating areas and a gym.

School captains Joshua Hibbert and Justine Traore welcomed State Member for Pumicestone Ali King, Federal Member for Longman Terry Young, the ACC board, staff, students and families.

Ms King addressed attendees and unveiled a plaque dedicating the building before cutting a ribbon marking its official opening in Caboolture.

“This new building is a testament to ensuring each of our students are well taught," ACC Moreton Principal Darren Lawson said.

“The school community is thrilled with this new addition to our campus. We alook forward to the great learning and student formation that will happen in this space for many years to come.”

Australian Christian College Moreton is a Prep-12, co-educational, Christian school based in Cotterill Rd.

The new secondary school building was developed to provide a state-of-the-art facility for a wide range of senior secondary subjects.

The school has high-speed Wi-Fi, solar panels, a commercial kitchen, science and prep labs, and interactive learning tools.

In addition to its campus in Caboolture, ACC Moreton also provides Distance Education to students throughout Queensland, interstate, and overseas.

The Australian Christian College Group is a network of 12 Christian Schools in five states. Some ACC schools have on campus and online students.
