COVID-19 UPDATE: October 3

There have been no new community cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, a development Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says is “just outstanding”.

There is one new case in hotel quarantine, not locally acquired.

Ms Palaszczuk says Queenslanders have answered the call to do the right thing and she is grateful to them for doing so.

More than 18,000 people have been tested in the past 24 hours and more than 19,000 have received a vaccine.

That brings the total vaccination numbers to 66.96 per cent first dose and 47.98 per cent fully vaccinated.

Ms Palaszczuk is urging families to include getting a vaccine in their plans for the long weekend, stopping into a vaccination hub while they are out and about.

It comes as new exposure sites are added to the Queensland Health website at North Lakes and Kippa-Ring.

They include Costco Fuel (inside) at North Lakes, North Lakes 7-Eleven at Flinders Pde, and Redcliffe Peninsula 7-Day Medical Centre at Kippa-Ring.
