Do you have room in your home and hearts for new pet?
Peninsula Animal Aid (PAA), at Clontarf, is looking for forever homes for many dogs and cats, including the four featured here …
Dogs for adoption
TACO
ID 15848 - AUSTRALIAN CATTLE X – MALE - DOB 10/03/2021 - Bin No 0000941461736
A 19-month-old Cattle dog mix (maybe Staffy) who has been at PAA for eight weeks. His owner had no further time to keep him as a mate, and sadly gave him up. Taco needs someone to just love him, as he has quite a submissive nature and would return affection readily.
A nice-looking boy!
RUSTY
ID 15307 - BULL ARAB X – MALE - DOB 24/11/2020 Bin No 953010004906925
A one-year, 11-month-old Bull Arab who still has plenty of “pup” in his behaviour! His size and energy have outgrown his previous family with young children. He is a stunner to see and is learning how to walk in a controlled manner on a lead.
Without distractions, Rusty has potential to enjoy his walks and concentrate on learning basic commands. He is at the right age to succeed with some serious training.
BARTY
ID 15790 - AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG X – MALE - DOB 09/12/2019 Bin No 0000941461736
A two-year, 10-month-old Cattledog mix (maybe Dalmatian) who was carrying quite some weight on his arrival to the shelter, but with TLC and the right diet during the past five months, Barty has turned into an enthusiastic excitable boy who has a smile from ear to ear. He is super friendly with humans, but his dog mates are limited. He is still a big bouncing boy who may not suit a family with small children.
RON
ID 15868 - CATTLE DOG – MALE - DOB 08/03/2022 - Bin No 0000941461736
A very friendly 19-month-old Cattledog mix received from a farm where many of his mates ran with stock. Ron decided he could relax from the working load, and consequently proved to be an extra on the farm who was not needed.
All PAA dogs are health checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested and treated, and are also treated for intestinal worms, fleas and ticks.
Cats for adoption
PEANUT
ID 15615 – DMH – FEMALE - DOB 11/02/2016.
The orange/ginger stripe up Peanut's nose is really rather cute. She has a lovely nature, enjoys pats and being picked up and pushes her head into your hand when you stroke her. She's a very purry girl, although her purr sounds like a small growl until you get used to it.
SAMMY
ID 12837 – DSH – FEMALE - DOB 01/07/2014.
Sammy is just the biggest purrer volunteers have heard for a while at the shelter. She is simply a lovely, lovely girl. What more can be said about her except that she just loves cuddles and being carried around. What more could anyone want in a cat?
ELEKTRA
ID 9348 – DSH – FEMALE – DOB 26/03/2013
Elektra is a lovely older girl with a sweet nature. She is friendly and still enjoys a game. She likes to be patted but not cuddled, Electra would possibly be suited to a home where she is the only pet and could be a companion cat for an older person.
EVIE
ID 15832 – DSH – FEMALE - DOB 01/09/2019.
Evie is quite a timid girl although she has improved somewhat since she first came into the shelter. Given her shy nature, Evie needs to go to a home with someone who is patient enough to give her time to settle into new surroundings. She would be better in a home where she is the only pet.
All PAA cats are health checked, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for Feline Aids/Leukaemia, and treated for fleas and worms.
