Moreton Bay businesses are being urged to support this year’s Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day, by helping double every community donation.

By matching dollar-for-dollar donations, Giving Day, on May 21, will raise twice the support for patients and families at Redcliffe Hospital. Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Manager Sharyn Tidswell said support from Impact and Community Partners is critical to the success of the campaign.

“Matched giving is where the magic happens,” Ms Tidswell said.

“When businesses step up to double donations, it inspires the community to give more, knowing their contribution will go twice as far.

“Giving Day is all about the power of community. When you raise your hand as a business and become an Impact or Community Partner, you’re not just giving - you’re inspiring others to give and helping every dollar go further.”

Long-term Impact Partner Lewis Land, owner of The Belvedere and The Komo, has been setting the pace for other local businesses. Chris Allison, Lewis Land Queensland Regional Manager, said supporting Redcliffe Hospital was an easy decision.

“Everyone that has worked for us has had a connection to the hospital. It’s important to them, it’s important to us,” he said.

“We consider there is no more important facility in the entire community than Redcliffe Hospital.”

Funds raised this Giving Day will support priority areas, including helping raise patient comfort, wellbeing initiatives and upgrades to equipment and spaces. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to get involved, with flexible opportunities to contribute and be recognised as part of this community-driven campaign.

“When your community gives, you can make it go twice as far. It’s a simple but powerful way to show leadership and give back,” Ms Tidswell said.

“Together, we can raise the level of comfort, raise vital funds and raise what matters most for our community.”
