Encircle helping people prepare for disasters
Words by Jodie Powell

Encircle is hosting a series of free workshops to help the community learn about preparing for a disaster.

The Connected Communities Ready and Set to Go events focus on equipping people with the knowledge and skills to deal with natural disasters, including bushfires, floods, heatwaves, storms, and cyclones.

Attendees will gain valuable insights from experts, guest speakers and government organisations, who will share tips and strategies for staying safe and being prepared in different emergency scenarios.

The workshops are an opportunity to learn about essential disaster preparedness techniques and how to effectively respond in times of crisis.

The events, at Kallangur, Samford and Redcliffe, are family-friendly, with activities for kids, making learning about safety fun and interactive.

There will also be free helpful resources, information booths, and light refreshments available.
