Excitement grows as popular bakery announces new store

Update: The location and approximate opening date for the famed Kenilworth Bakery's newest outlet have been confirmed.
A spokeswoman for the bakery says it will be at 3 First Ave, Bongaree, which locals know as the former site of Sue’s Bar and Grill.
She says the third site in the Kenilworth Bakery franchise is due to open in early December and the beloved 1kg donuts and 1kg sausage rolls will be on the menu.

A famous Queensland bakery has announced it will be opening a new shopfront in Moreton Bay.
Kenilworth Country Bakery announced on its Facebook and Instagram pages via a video that it plans to open a new bakery in the regionwith clues from the video pointing to Bribie Island.
The video shows a vehicle travelling south on the Bruce Highway and taking the exit to Bribie Island, followed by scenic snapshots driving past the Sandstone Point Hotel, Bribie Island bridge and waterfront.
On the video are also the words “You ready, new store coming, any guesses”?
The Facebook reel received more than 360 comments, 340 likes and 140 shares.
Many of the comments were from excited bakery enthusiasts who will now be able to treat themselves to the bakery’s famous pies, sausage rolls, donuts and other baked goods without the long drive to the Sunshine Coast.
At this point it is unclear when and where the bakery will open.
The bakery is famous for its 1kg sausage rolls, 1kg donuts and coffee donuts.
Kenilworth Country Bakery is a household name in the Kenilworth area, having been established in 1924. It’s a World Heritage Listed bakery with its old woodfired bread oven and the fact that it is the oldest building in Kenilworth.
In 2011 Kenilworth Country Bakery opened its second store in Mooloolaba.
The Bribie Island store will be the third store for the family-run business.
