Peppers Clear Mountain, Moreton Bay’s first five-star hotel, has been officially unveiled following a multi-million dollar redevelopment.
The former Mercure Clear Mountain has had all rooms, dining and event spaces significantly upgraded by Mandala Hotels & Resorts.
Set on 20 hectares with views of the Glass House Mountains and Lake Samsonvale, the retreat is positioned for stays, weddings and corporate events.
Mayor Peter Flannery said it is “a testament to our ever-growing appeal as a leisure and business destination”.
“This premium venue is a welcome development for our tourism and major events industry which is experiencing high demand from leisure and corporate guests,” he said.
“The investment in this stunning hotel also demonstrates the confidence investors have in the economic strength and opportunities of City of Moreton Bay.”
All 51 guest rooms have been refurbished and given a new look, while the Glasshouse Restaurant has a statement fireplace, banquette seating, a lounge and bar.
There is a billiard room, gym and two private dining rooms, one with a balcony. The pool has new decking and balustrades, a fountain is the focal point of the Serenity Lawn.
Peppers Clear Mountain’s venues offer flexible configurations for up to 150 guests, suited to conferences, meetings, weddings and private events.
Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Accor in the Pacific region, said: “We’re setting a premium new benchmark for Queensland hospitality”.
“As we look toward 2032 and the arrival of the world’s greatest sporting event, we are entering a golden era of growth,” he said.
“Tourism demand is surging, flight capacity is rising and the energy in the market is palpable. It truly is blue skies for Queensland and blue skies for Brisbane.”
Gemma McCourt, Chief Operating Officer for Mandala Hotels & Resorts, said Peppers Clear Mountain marks a “confident and deliberate investment into one of Queensland’s most naturally compelling regions”.
Peppers has 30 properties across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia and is part of the global Accor hospitality group.
