The Imperial Hotel will be The Comiskey Group’s second on the coast joining The Doonan, which it opened with Josh Jones and Neville Allen in March.
The Comiskey Group also bought 150-hectares of land in Coochin in 2022, and applied to use the property as a large festival and event site.
“My family have always loved the Sunshine Coast!” Comiskey Group Director David Comiskey said. “The Imperial Hotel is my local and I have always loved it.
"Eumundi is a must-see tourism destination and we are proud to be able to be a part of its future in more ways than one.”
Rob Comiskey is looking forward to working with Lion who operate Eumundi Brewery out of the on-site brewery.
“We can’t wait to begin this unique partnership with Lion, combining our differing industry expertise to build our businesses and support the growth of the brand on a national scale,” he added.
Lion’s Queensland Field Sales Director Patrick Donohue said the company was “pleased to be part of this exciting next chapter for the Imperial Hotel.”
The Imperial Hotel’s live band room will be used, with plans for more, showcasing local musicians and talent from the world stage.
Contemporary styling of the HOLA rooms will remain but add new facilities added, including a heated pool.
