Youngsters can travel back in time this January MMXXII (2022) to Ancient Rome at the Abbey Museum in Caboolture.
Roman Family Fun Week is January 10-14 with activities including archery, Roman Legionary training, excavating a Roman dig, creating a mosaic image and making an edible Roman road!
Also on offer will be Roman games and crafts with experienced and knowledgeable instructors.
These programs are best suited for children between five and 12 years of age.
Little Romans
However, there will be activities for little Romans, aged three to five years, with parental assistance.
The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology holds a remarkable collection of artefacts from around the world that children can explore while taking part in a Museum Treasure Hunt.
The Abbey Cafe is open 9.30am–2pm with options for lunch, sweet treats and coffee.
