Take a sneak peek behind the scenes at the new Lawnton Ambulance Station this weekend.
Visitors will be able to meet local paramedics and take a tour of the new $7.8 million station on Saturday.
Pine Rivers MP Nikki Boyd says the new station will deliver improved response times and health outcomes for the community.
“We know our community is growing and the new Lawnton Ambulance Station will provide a fit-for-purpose facility for our paramedics, delivering a 24/7 ambulance service to our community,” Nikki says.
“To celebrate the opening there will be a community open day on Saturday with tours of the site, CPR awareness training, activities and the opportunity to meet some of our wonderful local paramedics who do such a great job looking after the community when they need it most.”
The new Lawnton Ambulance Station includes multi-function rest/study/training rooms, office space, change rooms, locker rooms and a patient care storeroom.
It will be staffed by an officer-in-charge, 16 paramedics, and four patient transport officers.
