The new tenant has been revealed for the former Target store site at Kippa-Ring Shopping Centre.
Gold’s Gym will open its first South East Queensland health and wellness club in the location in November.
Gold’s Gym Australia CEO Glen Farrow says he is thrilled to bring the gym to the Kippa-Ring community.
“Kippa-Ring Shopping Centre prides itself on being the heart of the community and we are delighted to be partnering with QIC to ensure we have a prominent inaugural location in South East Queensland,” Mr Farrow says.
“The gym will be ideal for those who are just starting their fitness journey through to those who will treat it as a destination where they can exercise, socialise, make friends and create their own community.
“Gyms have become a place where people not only work out, they can also enjoy great food and socialise in a relaxed, welcoming and friendly environment and this is our commitment at Gold’s Gym.”
The club will also include a pro-shop where members can purchase the iconic Gold’s Gym merchandise as well as supplements, recovery aids and other health related material.
A full-service Raw Energy café will also operate within the health club, so members can fuel up before or after their workout.
“This will be a one stop health club where members can meet their health and wellness needs, from working out using the latest equipment or participate in one of the many classes to enjoying great coffee, smoothies or a healthy bite to eat as part of their fitness program,” Mr Farrow says.
Welcome addition
Kippa-Ring Shopping Centre Manager Jennifer Spratling says she is delighted to welcome such a well-known global brand to the centre.
“This is a really exciting addition for our shopping centre and great news for our local community,” Ms Spratling says.
“We remain committed to delivering exciting new experiences for our customers, ensuring that our retail offer is strong and convenient and keeps up with the diverse needs of our growing community, and we are confident that Gold’s Gym will help us achieve this aspiration.
Mr Farrow says Golds Gym’s current Australian locations include, North Sydney, Miranda (NSW), Fyshwick (ACT), Fremantle, Kennedy Park, Mandurah, Port Kennedy and Rockingham (WA).
“We are also opening a new gym in Toowoomba later this year and we are exploring new locations in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast,” Mr Farrow says.
