'Tis the season to be jolly as Christmas carols return to North Lakes’ Kinsellas Sports Complex on December 4 for a spectacular Christmas event.
The North Lakes Christmas Carols will feature a jam-packed program of activities from carols to twilight markets and the popular fireworks finale. Entry is free.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) Chairman and Founder Shane Newcombe says the event will be bigger and better than ever, with something for all the family to enjoy.
“The Christmas Carols events are the perfect way to bring the community together during the festive season,” Mr Newcombe says.
“At these Christmas events, everyone really has a good time and local community groups are able to showcase their offerings to the wider community.
“With a jam-packed program on the Ausbuild Main Stage, the crowd is going to love this event.”
Santa’s Village will offer children’s activities such as face painting, Christmas craft and snow globes.
There will also be Christmas llamas and the opportunity to meet Santa.
Children are being urged to bring their letters to Santa, which can be posted in Santa’s Mailbox. Remember to include a return address, so he can reply.
Uniting the community
Moreton Bay Regional Mayor Peter Flannery says Christmas is the best time for the Moreton Bay Community to come together.
“The Moreton Bay Christmas Carols are the perfect environment to celebrate another big year in our region,” Mayor Flannery says.
“All you need is to bring along a chair or picnic blanket and enjoy an evening of carolling and local entertainment.
“With a jam-packed program, a festive atmosphere and dazzling fireworks display at the end of the night, these Christmas Carols events remain to be a true asset to our great region.”
While enjoying some top-quality local entertainment, residents and visitors can experience a slice of Moreton Bay hospitality by grabbing a bite to eat from one of the many food trucks or stalls.
They can also get a head start on Christmas shopping by stocking up on gifts at the twilight market stalls. There will be an amazing range of hand made goods and boutique items on offer.
The North Lakes Christmas Carols is strictly a no-alcohol event. Parking is available on site and in surrounding streets.
