Long-time Peninsula real estate agent Jo Szulc has returned as a Strategic Partner of Moreton Daily for 2026, continuing her support of independent, community-focused journalism across the City of Moreton Bay.
With more than 22 years working on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Jo says her decision to continue the partnership reflects shared values around connection, community and local storytelling.
Moreton Daily’s focus on showcasing what’s happening locally was a key factor in her decision to come back on board.
“They genuinely care about sharing the stories that matter to people who live here,” Jo said.
“That sense of community is really important to me too.”
Growing her team to better support locals
Over the past year, Jo has expanded her team at Ray White Scarborough, a move she says was driven by a desire to maintain quality service as demand on the Peninsula continues to grow.
For many years, Jo operated largely on her own, but says it became clear that growing a team was the best way to continue supporting clients properly.
“You can only look after so many people as one person,” she said.
“Building a team means there’s more of me to go around, without losing that personal connection.”
Her team now includes dedicated support for buyers, as well as additional help at open homes, inspections and behind the scenes. This allows Jo to focus on negotiations, marketing and guiding sellers through what is often a major life transition.
“The goal has always been quality over quantity,” she said.
“I want people to feel supported, not rushed. It’s never just a transaction.”
A career built on connection
Jo says the Peninsula’s strong sense of community is what continues to draw people to the area, particularly those seeking a lifestyle change.
“People move here for the water, the cafes, the walking paths and the feeling of belonging,” she said.
“My role is helping people find their place in that.”
Working closely with downsizers, retirees and families entering new stages of life, Jo says relationships sit at the heart of her work.
“I know people’s stories. I know their families,” she said. “That’s what makes this meaningful.”
Continuing support for local journalism
Jo was a Strategic Partner of Moreton Daily in 2025 and says continuing into 2026 felt like a natural next step.
“I really value what Moreton Daily does for the community,” she said.
“I’m proud to be back on board.”
Moreton Daily Partnerships Manager Lyndsay Lawler said Jo’s return as a Strategic Partner highlights the value of long-term local support.
“Jo’s return in 2026 shows the strength of continued local backing,” Ms Lawler said.
“It’s fantastic to see a local agent dig so deep, invest in herself and invest in the community. That kind of commitment helps ensure Moreton Daily can continue providing free, independent local news for the people of Moreton Bay.”
