Police are waiting for results of a postmortem to help their investigation into the sudden death of a 36-year-old man in Strathpine yesterday.
Around 12.53am yesterday, police were called to a Navua St residence after reports a man’s body had been located.
A crime scene was set up and Detective Inspector Phil Hurst, from Moreton District Crime Services, said yesterday investigations were ongoing.
“We are calling on members of the public or anyone who has dashcam or anyone who has information which can assist this investigation to contact Police or Crimestoppers,” he said.
He said yesterday a man, who was a “short-term resident” and known to two other occupants of the house, was found deceased.
Police are treating the death as “suspicious” and the other occupants of the house are “talking with police”, Det Insp Hurst said.
An autopsy is being arranged with police “relying on medical evidence to give us a greater understanding” of what may have happened.
Det Insp Hurst said there were some minor injuries but no significant injuries which may have caused the man’s death.
“If there was anyone else involved we urge them to come forward,” he said.
