A new expo that celebrates the natural beauty of Moreton Bay will be held for the first time in November.
After more than a year of planning, the Moreton Bay Garden and Outdoor Expo will be held at Caboolture Showgrounds on November 4.
Reclink Australia has partnered with Caboolture Showgrounds to bring the expo to life for Moreton Bay residents to enjoy.
Reclink Australia trainee and organiser Daniel Horsfall says the aim of the expo is to display everything garden and outdoors related.
“The expo will feature nurseries, flower and plant stalls, outdoor living stalls, lawn mowers and so much more. We want everyone to be involved so there will be something for all ages, with children’s activities included,” Daniel says.
“We already have a few attendees confirmed already, such as Cactus Anonymous, Mower Supastore and The Crafty Gardener, as well as community organisations such as Reclink and Spiders Boxing Club.”
Entry to the expo is free, but organisers are asking for a gold coin donation for parking, with all donations being reinvested back into the organisation.
“Any money raised from the expo as well as fundraisers on the day will be used to cover expenses, and then be split between Reclink Australia and Spiders Boxing Club, both not-for-profit organisations,” Daniel says.
“Money raised for Reclink Australia will be reinvested into the SQW program in hopes to run the expo as an annual event for our traineeship program. Spiders Boxing Club is a fantastic community organisation that focuses on providing fitness classes and boxing for all ages and skill levels.”
The Moreton Bay Garden and Outdoor Expo is the first of its kind for Reclink Australia, making it a very exciting event to host.
“We are excited to connect those in the community with local businesses who specialise in the outdoors. It has been amazing working with local vendors to put this together,” Daniel says.
“Caboolture Showgrounds are also keen to get more involved in the community with events like this one. It is incredible to see the progress of the trainees, as they make their way through this program to put on this event; we are all incredibly excited to see the end results.
“One thing I would love to emphasise is how accommodating the team at Caboolture Showgrounds have been to work with. They have provided our traineeship group with facilities to operate out of and have made this whole program and event possible.”
The Moreton Bay Garden and Outdoor Expo are currently looking for stallholders, vendors and sponsors to join this event.
Businesses that wish to attend are being asked to contact the expo team on 0419 416 168.
