It’s showtime in Dayboro this week, when town meets country at the “best little country show”.
The 68th Dayboro Show is on Friday and Saturday (July 5-6) and expected to attract more than 8000 to the showgrounds.
“Almost every aspect of rural living” will be on display including cattle, sheep and poultry displays wood chopping, home-grown produce and free family activities.
Dayboro Show spokesperson Alison Taylor, said: “The entire family can enjoy a fun-filled day with numerous free activities.
“We’ve got all the favourites including horse events and show jumping, poultry show, mini trotters, a sideshow alley with rides and show bags, fireworks, food trucks, a bar and more."
These will include an animal nursery, camp oven cooking, puppet show, farm animal display, reptile and wildlife shows, circus stunt show and breakdancing.
Also, a dog jump competition including a mini jump, rock climbing wall and passports for the kids to tick all activities off their list.

“We are excited to have Lachie Cossor and his Outback Stockman Show as well as the iconic Trackskill V8 Ute Show joining us this year,” Alison said.
The first show was held in 1956 to raise funds to pay for the showgrounds land. More than 1000 people attended the one-day event.
The membership fee was one guinea ($2.10) and admission 25 cents.
“This show is an important part of our community,” Alison said, and we welcome everyone to come and join us in the fun and fresh air here in our beautiful town.”
