See unsung heroes at Bribie expo
Words by Nick Crockford

Meet the heroes behind our Emergency Services at the Bribie Island Moreton Bay Emergency Services Expo tomorrow (Saturday).

Police, fire, ambulance and the SES will be at Brennan and Apex Parks, in Bongaree from 9am-1pm for this free event.

Visitors can sound the sirens in a police car, find out what it takes to be a State Emergency Service volunteer, use the fire hose on a rural fire fighting truck and look inside an ambulance.

Engage in hands-on experiences and simulations, try out equipment, participate in mock rescue scenarios and learn life-saving techniques.

One of the main highlights will be on-water displays including Volunteer Marine Rescue, HMAS Moreton Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB) and more.

There will be plenty of fun and educational activities for the kids, exciting activations, and delicious food trucks to satisfy your appetite.
