Stolen bike crashes in front of police

Luck ran out for an alleged offender when he crashed a stolen motorbike at Clontarf - right in front of police.
Officers at the Emergency Services Expo, in Pelican Park on Sunday, saw the motorbike crash on Hornibrooke Esplanade around 9.30am.
When speaking with police about the crash, it is alleged the man became very agitated and aggressive, resulting in his arrest for public nuisance.
Police found the motorcycle had a damaged ignition and had been reported stolen.
It is alleged the bike was stolen from Emperor St, Annerley between 7pm on October 11 and 5.20am on October 12.
Police also alleged the helmet, gloves and other cards and keys found in his possession were suspected to be stolen.
It is alleged a small quantity of cannabis was found on the man who also tested positive for methylamphetamine following a drug driving test.
The 26-year-old West end man was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, obstruct police, possession of a dangerous drug, unlawful possession of property suspected to be stolen, drug driving.
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 30.
