Literary lovers looking for a bargain can pick up a book for $2, or less, at a Book Fest happening at Clontarf this Saturday.
St Peter the Fisherman Anglican Church is hosting the Book Fest, its first ever, on Saturday, April 2 from 8am-4pm.
Entry is free to the event which will be held at the church, 13 Lucinda St, Clontarf.
There will be a huge selection of titles on offer from genres including fiction, non-fiction, children’s books, cookbooks and more.
Ladies Guild President Diana Borger says there will be about 1000 books for sale, with most priced at $2 or less.
“We’ve got a real variety, lots of books,” she says.
“We’ve got some good novels, a lot of good authors.”
Ms Borger says the church has hosted garage sales before but never a Book Fest.
All money raised will go to the church and local charitable projects.
