Plans have been lodged for a major new homemaker centre on a high-profile 3.7-hectare site in Rothwell.

A service station, food outlet and warehouse are also proposed for the development at 463 Anzac Ave, beside the Hope Centre and Grace Lutheran College.

The development application (DA) has been submitted to Moreton Bay City Council and is publicly available on Council’s DA Tracker website.

It is open for public consultation until Friday February 23.

The retail showroom building would have nine tenancies –ranging from 1967sqm to 238sqm - covering a total floor area of more than 8500sqm.

Fronting onto Anzac Ave would be the service station and a food and drink outlet which would have a drive through facility.

A 2500sqm warehouse for storage and distribution would be next to the second entrance which would be on Buchanan Street.

The homemaker site would have 365 car parking spaces.

If plans are approved the centre would be built in two stages, with the homemaker tenancies, servo, food outlet and car parking first, followed by the warehouse.
