Singing trio to wow audiences with new show

Three of Australia’s favourite tenors will perform a wide range of classic songs from the world of opera, musical theatre, jazz and everything else in between when they appear at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre this June. 

Queensland singers Andrew Pryor, David Kidd and Stewart Morris, who all met when touring internationally with The Ten Tenors, will put on a dynamic and uplifting performance for their upcoming show Tenori – Moment by Moment.

The trio will take to the stage for a mid-morning performance from 11am-12.30pm on Tuesday, June 14.

Speaking to Moreton Daily ahead of their gig, tenor Andrew Pryor said they were all excited to return to the stage after two years of cancellations and rescheduling due to COVID.

“COVID was very hard on us, as it was for everyone,” Andrew said.

“Between New Years and Easter, we perform on cruise ships, and we were not able to do that.

“After a few years, it’s nice to be back on stage and doing what we love.”

What can audiences expect

This is not the first time the tenors have performed in Moreton Bay.

“The Redcliffe Entertainment Centre is such a great little theatre, and we love performing there,” Andrew said.

“The audience will really love what we have got planned for the show.

"We are just three guys who enjoy singing together on stage. We laugh, we joke, we play around, and hopefully make a few moments that people will remember.

“The reason why this show is called Moment by Moment is because there are always moments that are etched in our memories, and this is one of them.”

Andrew would not reveal too much about the song-list, saying he wanted audiences to be surprised on the day.

“We do have a few new songs that we haven’t performed in the past,” he said.

“People think we are just three opera singers, but we love a lot of different kind of genres.

“When we say we can do opera, musical theatre, jazz, and everything in between, we really do mean everything in between.

“We have three very different distinct voices so we can do different genres.”

He was also very coy about a rumour that has been going around the musical world about their show.

“There is a bit of a rumour that there might be some Cold Chisel in the show.

“I don’t want to go too much into it. It’s a rumour and a very big rumour,” he said, laughing.

Having performed together for many years, all three are used to singing in front of large crowds.

That helps add to their pre-show rituals of…… nothing really.

“We don’t really have any pre-show rituals or superstitions because we are all feeling pretty relaxed,” Andrew said.

“If we were any more relaxed, we would be unconscious.

“I will say though… David, one of the singers, he likes to get dressed as late as possible. He’s putting his pants on when he’s almost walking out on the stage.”
