Ferny Hills

About Ferny Hills

Almost entirely a residential suburb, Ferny Hills is located north Brisbane surrounded by the Samford Conservation park and neighbouring suburbs; Arana Hills, Everton Hills, Ferny Grove, Keperra and Bunya.

Ferny Hills adjoins Arana Hills, which in turn adjoins Everton Hills, and the three suburbs constitute what is known as the Hills District in the Moreton Bay Region.

Two primary schools are established within Ferny Hills; Ferny Hills State School and Patricks Road State School. A high school is in neighbouring suburb Ferny Grove.

Samford Conservation Park located in Ferny Hills is a pleasant and easily accessible spot for outdoor gatherings, horse riding, bush walking and mountain bike riding. Ironbark Gully is a popular picnic area in the centre of the park, where you’ll find plenty of shady trees, wood fire BBQs and undercover picnic tables.
