Caboolture Sports Club has renamed one of its latest acquisitions with the ‘Glassie’ becoming Glass House Local.
The rebrand signals a new era for the former Club Glass House, which was taken over by Caboolture Sports Club Group last year.
“Glass House Local represents far more than a name change, it reflects who we are, who we’ve always been, and where we are heading,” said Craig Thomas, CEO at CSC Group.
“We wanted to create a brand that captures the character of the region and the people who make this place so special. It’s humble, welcoming, connected and full of heart.”
Known as “The Glassie,” the venue evolved from the historic Glasshouse Country Bowls Club which was established in 1936.
Following periods of financial uncertainty, the venue secured its future through its amalgamation with the not-for-profit CSC Group in 2025.
The hinterland venue has since undergone upgrades including new furniture and carpark lighting and plans are being formalised for a $15 million expansion.
This will include expanded dining, entertainment, a children’s playground and improved facilities for the bowlers, creating more than 50 new jobs.
As part of CSC Group, Glass House Local will focus on reinvesting back into the community. More than $12 million has been given to community initiatives over the past five years.
Glass House Local will also roll out its Love Our Locals Swipe & Win promotion from May 21 to July 19 with more than 250 prizes valued at over $3400.
